Prof. Réna Shereshevskaya

« Rena Shereshevskaya, the empress of piano. From Rémi Geniet to Lucas Debargue, the Russian teacher trained and consulted best pianists of the younger French generation » - under this title a French journal “Figaro” published an article about this pianist and professor of piano with an international reputation, laureate of the Ippolitov-Ivanov International Prize in the field of the musical education “for the exceptional contribution and the development of the musical culture”, professor of piano at the Paris Alfred Cortot Music School (l’Ecole Normale de Music de Paris Alfred Cortot) and at the Conservatory of Rueil-Malmaison (France).

 

A graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and of the post-graduate course of the same Conservatory she had been teaching during 11 years in the famous Central Special Music School for Gifted Children at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and then was a head of a piano chair at the Moscow Ippolitov-lvanov Musical Pedagogical Academy. After teaching at the master classes at the Colmar International Festival (Art Director Vladimir Spivakov) she was invited to work in France as a guest professor.

 

Many of her students became prize-winners of grand international competitions, such as, among others, Rémi Geniet (the 13th Queen Elisabeth International Competition, Brussels, 2013), Lucas Debargue (the XVth International Tchaikovsky Competition, Moscow, 2015), Dmitry Sin (11ème Adilia Alieva International Piano Competition, France, 2017), Maroussia Gentet (13ème  Concours International de piano d’Orléans, Orléans, France, 2018)…

 

Her students play all over the world in the most prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New-York, Paris Philharmonie, the Champs Elysées Theatre and Gaveau in Paris, Grand Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, Mariinski Concert Hall in St. Petersburg... Rena Shereshevskaya gives master classes in France, USA, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Russia, Germany, China... In parallel with her intensive pedagogical activity she also performs chamber music with internationally renowned musicians. She is also a creator and Art Director of a festival “Artistic Dynasties and Families”.
